Sugar Cane

I planted some sugar cane in my backyard recently. It was quite simple, the Jamaican just cut off the top of the stalk and told me to plant it about a foot into the ground. Yes, "ehh white man put the grass in the ground...." Well, it's working.

Cane is considered a grass, so it grows fairly easily. I have recently just acquired some other kind of cane - that will be planted shortly.
