Well, I figure I can't let Scott write all the posts while we are here in Jamaica......... but there is so much to tell that I'm not sure where to start.
October has been so rainy! We had 13 straight days of rain at the beginning of the month. Now we have a tropical depression coming through so more rain! My counterpart and I go out and visit persons that we have on our project. They are somewhat out in the bush. One day we thought we could get out and visit a couple persons and make it back before the rain started. We were wrong. We made it to one lady's house and the rain started falling. On our way back to the office we had to drive through some standing water. Well, we made it through the first one. We actually made it through the second one too but we only made it about 10 feet past it before my counterpart's car stalled. We couldn't get the car to start. Thank God we were close to a health clinic and we were able to get a number for a mechanic. No tow truck came to take us to a garage. The mechanic came after about 45 minutes of waiting with the car blocking the road and the water we passed through was gone. Then the mechanic fixes the car with it still in the street. I have yet to actually see a tow truck in Jamaica. I have seen a couple cars being drug by ropes with a friend's car in front. I have also seen many vehicles jacked up on the side of the road getting large repairs completed. Not only cars but buses and large trucks!

I've always had no problems with getting internet on my computer. Now I can't connect. I've checked and everything is plugged in. I don't think it is a problem with the cables because I don't get the message "Local cable disconnected". All the other computers in my house are working fine. I think that something is wrong with the actual computer. I had a trojan (InternetSecurity2010) before that happened, maybe that has something to do with it? I've tried Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Safari. Other odd things are happening too...after a few hours or so none of the applications will work (iTunes, microsoft word, etc) and a lot of the words start to disappear. Likeee, the start button at the bottom left corner doesn't say start, it just is a green blob and when you click on it, it only shows the picture for each application. I've run spybot and malwarebytes scans and they both came up with nothing. I dont have any actual antivirus to run because I was in the middle of downloading Kaspersky Anti Virus when it happened and whenever I put in the code, it says that it can't download because it can't access the internet. Any ideas?
