X-mas in Cacona

For the holidays we decided to take a mini-vacation and go down to the beach with 6 other volunteers. We rented a cottage in Treasure Beach. It was good food, good drinks and good times had by all. We had time to relax soak in the sun and catch up on some reading - as if we don't do that enough serving in the Peace Corps. I even learned a new game over the three days. It's called Polish Horse Shoes where you place bottles on top of pipes that are burried in the sand about 4o ft from one another. You have two teams of two and the defending team tries to prevent the other from knocking the bottles off with a frisbee. If you knock the bottle off and it falls to the ground before the other team catches it you score two points. In addition, if the frisbee hits the ground then an additional point is scored. It's a lot of fun and difficult, especially when you have to hold a bottle in your free hand.
